High School: Life After Bridge

Bridge Boston is proud to educate our students from pre-kindergarten all the way through 8th grade, and to support their continuing education beyond our walls. After all, our mission challenges us to empower our students to, “achieve their greatest potential in high school and beyond.”

High School Placement at Bridge

At Bridge Boston, we recognize that every student’s path to high school is unique. Beginning in 7th grade, each student is paired with a High School Placement Advisor who works closely with them and their family throughout the high school selection process.

Through weekly advisory sessions, students explore a variety of options—including charter, public, exam, private, religious, and trade schools—while receiving personalized support with school research, applications, interviews, essays, testing, and financial aid. Advisors create customized school lists based on each student’s interests, strengths, and goals to help them find the best fit.

Our High School Placement Advisors are trusted counselors and educators who are deeply invested in our students’ success, ensuring every student is prepared and supported as they transition to high school.

Bridge Boston Alumni

Being full-service, it is of utmost importance to us to ensure our students are prepared not only for school, but for the life ahead of them. Every single Alumni self-identified in our survey that they are on-track to finish high school in 4 years, and since beginning high school, over 80% of BBCS alumni indicated that they have taken on at least one leadership role in a club, sports team, job, or volunteer position. Bridge prepares students to not only succeed, but lead!

At Bridge, we have developed a school culture of intentional community that keeps students supported and our alumni connected. Keeping in touch with our Alumni is important to Bridge Boston because we are keeping our community connected. 94% of our Alumni agreed they were proud to have attended Bridge Boston Charter School, showing our community continues to impact our students even after they leave. We also know that many of our 8th grade students will be greeted by their fellow Jaguars at their new high schools every year.

With the help of our High School Placement Counselors, Bridge Boston Alumni most often select competitive schools to advance their education including: Boston Latin School, Boston Latin Academy, O'Bryant School of Math and Science, BC High, Xaverian Brothers, Catholic Memorial, Newton Country Day, Fontbonne Academy, Meridian Academy, Cathedral High School, Cristo Rey High School and Boston Arts Academy.

Our first generations of Bridge Boston Alumni have are graduating high school, with many beginning entering college at places including: Howard University, UMass Darthmouth College, Syracuse University, Curry College, Framingham State University, Northeastern University, and Endicott College.
